Carabé Gelateria
For years, Annie and I have been coming to Carabé Gelateria in Florence for the amazing granitas and we only just realized that we have never tried their gelato! Now, I am curious if the gelato is as good as their granitas…so, if you have any experience with their gelato, please leave me a comment and let me know!

Hidden spot
This gelateria is on Via Ricasoli, 60 – it has a very small entrance and you may miss it the first go around, just look for the Gelateria awning right down the street from the Galleria dell’Accademia.
Mandorle = Almond
Our favorite flavor is the mandorle, but I decided to mix it up and try out the lampone e agrumi with the frutti di bosco. This Sicilian couple knows what they’re doing by only using real fruit, you can really taste the freshness in each bite…my lampone e agrumi was amazing and full of citrusy goodness it was like biting into a big juicy Sicilian lemon!
One small cup of granita is €2,70 and a large cup is €5,50 – normal tourist prices in the center. Definitely worth every penny, go try it and let me know your favorite flavors!
