Korean Food in Florence
I’m so excited, and I just can’t hide it! We’ve found Korean food in Florence. Whenever I have a Korean food craving, I have to make it myself… but, lately this heatwave keeps me far away from my kitchen. Thank goodness we found Rosticceria On 온! The cute Korean rosticceria is located right near the main train station (Santa Maria Novella).
The menu offers limited choices but, I can tell you that we’ve tried everything… EVERYTHING and it’s all fingerlicking good, okay good for a city that lacks in good ethnic fare (but, let’s not compare to places I’ve eaten in NY). The place is small, but offers various seating options. Here are my recommendations: bulgogi (marinated beef with rice), bibimbap (fresh marinated vegetables served with rice), dakgangjeong (spicy marinated chicken pieces) and the tteokbokki (spicy rice cake).
If you’re in Florence and just need some Korean, now we at least have a place to get some at Rosticceria On 온!

Oooooooh! I can’t believe it! You’ve got to be kidding me Jackie! Me too, anytime I wanted anything Korean I’d have to make it myself (but I’m not Korean so then also had to deal with my inexpertise) or go up to Milan. Yummm….will have to make a stop by next time I’m in Florence!
I know Tracy! Let’s go there together when we’re back in September! I know I will be wanting some Korean food after all this Italian food I’ll be gorging on in Sardegna. 🙂
