Birth Announcements

We just received a beautiful birth announcement card from Liz, all the way from Boston and little peanut’s card was so adorable! It made me think about Julienne’s birth announcement, uh… you know, the one that never got sent. Well, right before her birth, I had partially designed a birth announcement that I wanted to print from home and send out to family & friends.

However, once we brought the little dumpling home, the thought of opening up my computer to finish up the design, address them and then leave the house to mail them out… yea, way too overwhelming. So sadly, no birth announcement went out. Baby Birth Announcement

Easy Peasy Customizable Cards

If I had to do it all over again or for the next kid (no mom, I’m not pregnant!), I would upload a cute picture to a website like, where they would handle everything from the card design to addressing the envelopes for me.

One of my favorite things about is the amount of creative customization you have for each order, from card shape to color variations. We all know how much I love personal customization! There is also a great feature where you can easily upload your own photo and see how it looks placed in the different designs… then with just a few clicks of the mouse, exceptionally designed cards will be on their way! Greeting Cards in Italy

Here in Italy, it is difficult to find unique card designs in stores, not just for birth announcements, but even simple birthday invitations to fun holiday cards. This is probably why I feel the need to design things myself or I end up not sending anything at all. But, fear not expat friends, offers fast international shipping and even with the horrendous Italian postal service, this should be no problem for Fedex! On my next Italian purchase from, I will time the order and write an update about the shipping.

Two thumbs up! If you are expecting you’re own little peanut or planning your child’s first birthday party, go check out for all your family’s needs!
