Dolce Vegan
Annie took me out for a belated birthday lunch this past Saturday – thanks Annie! We tried Dolce Vegan on Via San Gallo, 92 closer to Piazza Liberta. From the name of the place you can guess they specialize in all things vegan.
How to eat at Dolce Vegan
If you ever want to check out Dolce Vegan here are the things to know. There is no table service, grab menus at the register, pick up silverware and a paper placemat…when you are ready to order, go back to the register, give your order and wait for your name to be called.
Order the Seitan
I ordered Piatto Unico Falafel and Annie got the Piatto Unico Seitan. Definitely go with Annie’s order, the seitan and fresh vegetables were very tasty, my plate was very dry and the tiny amount of hummus was gone in 2 bites.
Two thumbs down for Service
I personally love finding places where the service is spectacular, does not mean you have to have table service, even a simple Ciao or Buongiorno when you walk in – acknowledging every customer is a must (in my opinion). Dolce Vegan is a total fail in the service category, major disappointment.
Sadly, let’s just say that I will not be going back for seconds…is it mean that I get turned off by bad service? How do you feel when you eat well at a locale, but the service is bad – do you go back?
