Question submitted by Jenny: Hummm…what do you think about suits with shorts as the bottom? Too weird? Do you need really long legs to pull it off?
Answer: First off, no I don’t think you have to have really long legs to pull off the shorts suit. If you have shorter, more curvier legs than your average model or mannequin…the key is to buy shorts that hit above or below the largest parts of your leg (mid thigh, mid knee or mid calf).
Short and curvy legs
If it’s for work, find a pair of longer hipster shorts like this belted pair from Mango. Try to stick with dark plain colors, like black, giving an instant illusion of slimness! Add an instant boost with some high heels – further elongating your legs. If you cannot imagine wearing high heels to work, wear this look with some cute kitten heels.

Thanks for the advice on the shorts suit. I really like this look – and really glad to see shorts that are reasonably priced. Love the shoes too – though wish they weren’t so high heeled.
🙂 If you do end up buying/wearing a shorts suit, definitely send me a picture!
