Festa di San Giovanni
Every June 24th in Florence is a local holiday, where the city celebrates its patron Saint, San Giovanni. The city holds a traditional parade around town, then the final Calcio Storico match takes place in Piazza Santa Croce and it all culminates with a fireworks display over the Arno River.
Fiochi d’artificio
The fireworks display is shot just under Piazzale Michelangelo and explodes over the Arno River. We are lucky enough to live right by the Piazzale and here is what we saw last night from our roof!
