Nuxe Products

Beauty products will be the death of me or at least my bank account! I was in the farmacia (pharmacy) on an errand to pick up anti-age cream for my mother-in-law when the beautician started selling me on the Nuxe product line. This French company has been in business for the last twenty years, but I have only seen the products marketed here in recent months.

She spouted out the benefits of the natural ingredients and vitamin filled products. Well ma’am, did you know that this miracle anti-age cream not only helps with age spots, it adds elasticity, hydrates, leaves your skin soft & radiant, and rebuilds the lost collagen by repairing the mitochondrial DNA… and yes, it wakes up before you and makes you breakfast.

Okay, obviously, my credit card was in her hands before she could finish saying mitochondrial DNA. I think she used to be a car dealer.

Nuxe Aroma Perfection Gel Cleanser

The little devil that she was, she continued talking as she gift wrapped the anti-age serum and started telling me about this spectacular gel cleanser that was delicate for sensitive skin, yet strong enough to remove dead skin and clean out sebum.

I am so weak. My wallet lighter and my Nuxe Gel Cleanser in hand, I rushed home to make my pores happy.

Nuxe Aroma Perfection Gel Cleanser

Nuxe Cleanser is Okay, not Amazing

Now that I have used it for one week, day and night, I have to report that I am not 100% happy with the product. It has a milky texture and does not suds up. The fact that it is an all natural product, do not expect it to have a foamy consistency, so for those of you that don’t like that silky lotion feel to your cleanser this is not for you.

With every new cleanser, I like using a toner afterwards to see if the cotton pad comes clean. Unfortunately, this did not pass the toner test. Yes, it leaves my skin feeling fresh, but does not remove all dirt. The biggest problem I have with this cleanser is that it leaves me shiny around the T-zone. I will continue using it for a month and report back with my final say on Nuxe Aroma Perfection Purifying Gel Cleanser. So far, I am not thrilled that for a cleanser with a €16 price tag, my pores should be vomiting out sebum not just feeling slightly fresh.

Nuxe Aroma Perfection Gel Cleanser, you get two stars for being an overpriced gentle cleanser.

Anyone else ever try this Nuxe product line? Leave me comment, would love to hear your thoughts on this Nuxe brand.
