Escape the heat
What are you all doing this fourth of July? We have a birthday party for baby Matteo (you’re already ONE big boy!) and a small outdoor picnic planned this weekend. I am still trying to figure out what to make for our picnic and these two summery treats look deliciously perfect for celebrating Independence day in style. Martha does it again with this red, white, and blueberry trifle recipe – now, where to find sparklers? I saw these fruity summer striped ice cubes by Oh Joy, back in May and I think they may be the ideal dessert to stay cool this weekend. Husband, look…no yogurt, it’s coconut milk!
Davide wants to start eating healthier not only for the baby’s benefit, but for us…ohhhhhh OK. How about a fresh chickpea and carrot bulgur wheat salad and quinoa burgers instead of the traditional hot dogs and hamburgers? Hmm…not sure, I think I may still make myself a juicy meat burger…husband, stop shaking your head at me!
